Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel-offs Accordion Circle card

Yesterday, my friend Donna and I went shopping, and I bought my first ever peel-offs!! They are these ones from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I coloured them with Copics, and used Karen Burniston's new Accordion Circle dies, also from Elizabeth Craft Designs for the card base.
I added frames from the 'Square with Circle Frame Edges' die set, and a 'Happy Birthday', flowers and leaves - also from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Definitely not my usual thing, but very enjoyable to do!

Purple Onion Stamps 'Pop It Ups' House Card

I received some 'happy post' at the weekend - a package of stamps (and some other lovely crafting goodies!) from Michele at Purple Onion Designs, whose design team I'm now on.
I love the 'Home Sweet Home' set by Stephanie Ackerman, and this card kind of made itself - I instantly pictured the stamps teamed with patterned paper and Karen Burniston's new Pop it Ups 'Lots of Pops' Pop -up die.

Michele was so sweet, and sent me lots of goodies for making things sparkle, plus I got to choose some of her wonderful stamps. Purple Onion Design has just recently got a new website - well worth a look!!

I like how with Karen Burniston's new Pop-up card dies, you get to choose where abouts on the card you have the pop-up part, and how big you want the card... on this one I positioned the pop-up mechanism to one side, to allow room for my sun and clouds.
I used the two side tabs cut with the die, to attach the tree and fence to.
I drew by hand the top yellow scalloped edge, to match with the stamps.

For the sentiment I used another Purple Onion stamp set, 'Hopscotch Sentiments', and put it in some label dies from Karen's 'Katie Label Pivot Card' set.

I made a simple card front using some 'Majestic' Framelits and more Purple Onion stamps.

'Crazy 4 Challenges' Colour Challenge Valentine's Card - Pop it Ups

At Crazy 4 Challenges this week, the challenge is to create a Valentine's card, using the colours Aqua, Pink, Chocolate and Cream - Yum!!

I used the Heart Pivot Card die set by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs, for the card base, and also for the two woodgrain heart layers.
I used gorgeous papers from Prima's 'All About Me' 6x6 pad, an old Crate Paper chipboard bird, and a chipboard sentiment from American Crafts 'Front Porch' range.
In the bottom right-hand corner, I used a banner from Karen's 'Banner and Borders' Framelits set, and a heart cut with her Movers and Shapers 'Heart and Wing' set. I used some letter stickers, and a whole heap of sequins, stuck down into Beacons glue. I got the sequins over Christmas from a £1 shop - a massive bag! Lots of fun sprinkling them around! (Haven't done the clearing up yet though...)
I'm making a Valentines card for each of my kids - this one being for my daughter, but I couldn't wait for February, so I gave it to her when she got in from school, and she loved it! (I'll make her another for Feb 14th!)

Oval Accordion Album Soft Pastel Birthday Card

I've counted up, and I have 14 birthdays of close friends and family in March, plus Mother's Day! I should really get started on the cards, so here's my first!

First up I used Karen Burniston's new Pop it Ups 'Oval Accordion Card' die set, for Elizabeth Craft Designs, for the card base and oval patterned paper layers.
The paper are all by Prima (see link at bottom).
On the first page, I used another of Karen's new die sets 'Oval Flourish Frame Edges', to make the lovely blue border and an older Sizzlit die of Karen's 'Label & Flourish', for the swirls.
The flowers, leaves, Happy Birthday and dragonfly are all by Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
On the third page, I again added the Flourish Edges, plus some butterflies from Karen's Butterfly Pivot Card set, and Butterfly Accessory set.
On the fourth page, I used the stitches die from the Oval Accordion set, and trapped some twine behind the oval cardstock layer, before adding my folded over bunting flags.
One down, 15 to go!

Katie Label Pivot Card

Here's a card I made using Karen Burniston's new Katie Label Pivot Card die.
The set also includes extra co-ordinating label dies, which I used for the stripy green card stock layers.
I seem to have been coming up with some random colour schemes for my cards lately, which I wouldn't claim were my favourite colours, but I quite like the cheerful feel of this card.
On the card front, the left-hand label pivots round and shows through. I used a Stampin' Up stamp for the sentiment.
For the other label (which shows through at the back of the card), I added a string of bunting, made using a die from Karen's Lots of Pops die set.
All the dies are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Fancy Label Accordion Card with Purple Onion Stamps

I made this birthday card for a friend using Karen Burniston's new Accordion Fancy Label dies, from her Pop it Ups for Elizabeth Craft Designs, and used some fun stamps from Purple Onion Designs. I love their range of building stamps by Stephanie Ackerman, which each come with cute sentiments!
I added paper layers cut with some of the decorator dies included in the set. The images are coloured with Copics, with some Stickles added.
I also added frames around the edges cut from the Fancy Frame Edges die set.
I used two flagpoles from the 'Lots of Pops Pop Up' set of Karen's, to attach some bunting to.

The new 'Notebook Edge and Hello Dies' from The Stamps of Life

There are four great new die set releases at The Stamps of Life today, and you can tell by the number of cards I made with one of the sets that I'm pretty keen on it!
All the cards here use dies from the new 'Notebook Edge and Hello Dies' set.

As well as the Notebook Edge die, there's Hello in a lovely font, plus a Hello shadow die.
I used the Hello dies here, along with Hexagon Dies from The Stamps of Life. (I love that the Hexagon die set has multiple of the smallest hexagon size, so that I didn't need to cut these out one by one!) The papers are from Basic Grey's Mint Julep 6x6 pad.

This card has more papers from Mint Julep, and a butterfly die cut with Karen Burniston's Movers and Shapers Butterfly die.

A machine stitched card, with hand cut banners and feathers.

This card base is from the Square Movers and Shapers die, with papers from Crate Paper's Story Teller 6x6 Pad.

Another card using the Square Flip-its die, the Notebook Edge, and papers from Pebbles' 12x12 Basics Collection, plus some photo corners cut with an old little green Sizzix die, and a camera cut with My Favourite Things 'Cute Cameras' die set.
The stamp set is calm2keep by The Stamps of Life.

Another card using the new Notebook Edge die, and the calm2keep stamp set.

And lastly, a card using the new Notebook Edge and Hello die, plus stamps from Crayons2stamp and dies from the Crayon Die set from The Stamps of Life.

Crazy 4 Challenges 'Pop it Ups' Purple Onion Stamps Birthday Card

At Crazy 4 Challenges this week we have a sketch challenge - here is my card front based on the sketch:
I used Purple Onion Design stamps, coloured with Copics, and for the pop-up mechanism inside the card, used Karen Burniston's new 'Lucy Label Pop-Up' die from her Pop it Ups collection for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
The card base was cut with Karen's Pop 'N Cuts Square Card with Ornate Edges, though any card can be used with the 'Lucy Label' die.
The Lucy Label die also creates a little pop-up part on the shelf, to which I stuck a cloud from another of Karen's new sets, the 'All-Season Tree'.
The red & pink polka dot label, is cut with another die from the 'Lucy Label' set.
All the papers are from American Craft's 'Lucky Charm' 12 x 12 pad.
I inked all the edges with Distress Ink, and stuck the card layers together with an ATG gun. Finally I added some sparkle details with Stickles.
